The Protecting All Protectors Alliance (PAPA) is comprised of fire professionals, retired and serving, who seek to increase the awareness and safety of firefighters attending high-rise firefighting incidents.

Firefighters are generally very well informed and aware of most significant fire and safety matters of significant relevance to their profession.  However, there is one particular incident which needs to be highlighted as a source of confusion. 

The problematic potential of this confusion was exemplified in 2017, when UK Firefighters involved in the shocking high-rise firefighting incident at Grenfell in London reported being in genuine fear of the tower block suddenly and fatally collapsing on top of them while inside carrying out their search and rescue duties.
